Let’s say it’s time to get a new mobile device and you’re the type of person who has a lot of stuff on your old mobile device that you’d rather not have other people find.
What do you do?
Well, if you’re someone like Hillary Clinton, you can have your personal aides destroy your device(s) with a hammer.
One of the most shocking revelations to emerge from the newly-released FBI documents summarizing the agency’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified emails is that two of Clinton’s old mobile devices were destroyed using physical force.
The FBI said in a report that an aide to Bill Clinton, Justin Cooper, recalled “two instances where he destroyed Clinton’s old mobile phones by breaking them in half or hitting them with a hammer.”
However, most people are not like Hillary Clinton—who has personal assistants and seems to have the uncanny ability to avoid prosecution.
As a result, if you have the necessity—but not the means to have personal assistants—to destroy a mobile device, there are several “do it yourself” (DYI) ways to go about it.
DIY Ways To Destroy A Blackberry

There are other videos available, however, that demonstrate numerous ways to destroy Apple devices, and others.
Note: In all cases, the hammer seems to be the preferred–albeit less glamorous–method of destroying devices.
