Metamorphosis: A Timeline On The Radicalization Of Colin Kaepernick

Football player who refused to stand for the National Anthem posts about Malcolm X and may have recently converted to Islam.

Last week, San Francisco 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick created a national controversy by his refusal to stand for the National Anthem as a protest gesture to the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick stated.

Some are speculating that Kaepernick’s protest came at the urging of his girlfriend, MTV DJ Nessa Diab, a noted #BlackLivesMatter activist.

However, while the two were dating when he posted about Trump’s anti-Muslim comments late last year, Kaepernick’s evolution toward black activism seems to predate the pair’s dating (and recent conversion to Veganism).

Despite being raised in what appears to be a loving, Christian home by his adoptive (white) parents, multi-millionaire Colin Kaepernick may be on the verge of converting to Islam (or has already done so) and has become very engaged in the #BlackLivesMatter movement, at least on social media.

While his Twitter account contains many retweets of articles about black oppression, rebellion and revolution, below are posts from Kaepernick’s Instagram (be sure to read the captions) that show his metamorphosis.

Martin Luther King’s assassination was the result of a conspiracy.

After four weeks of testimony and over 70 witnesses in a civil trial in Memphis, Tennessee, twelve jurors reached a unanimous verdict on December 8, 1999 after about an hour of deliberations that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated as a result of a conspiracy. In a press statement held the following day in Atlanta, Mrs. Coretta Scott King welcomed the verdict, saying , “There is abundant evidence of a major high level conspiracy in the assassination of my husband, Martin Luther King, Jr. And the civil court’s unanimous verdict has validated our belief. I wholeheartedly applaud the verdict of the jury and I feel that justice has been well served in their deliberations. This verdict is not only a great victory for my family, but also a great victory for America. It is a great victory for truth itself. In one of his most recent posts, Kaepernick expressed his outrage at the exoneration of the Baltimore police officers’ trials in the death of Freddie Gray.

Freddie Gray suffered a severe spinal cord injury, while in police custody, and the medical examiner ruled his death a homicide, yet there was not a single conviction! "Justice has been done," president of the Baltimore Fraternal Order of Police, said after the charges were dropped. Apparently this is what our system calls justice.
