While Clinton gets off scot free, an American hero is being forced to fork over millions.
In yet another shining example of how the ruling elite have a different set of rules than the rest of America, former Navy SEAL Matthew Bissonnette has agreed to forfeit over $6.6 million to the government for the writing of his book No Easy Day.
No Easy Day was Bissonnette’s personal account of the 2012 raid on Osama Bin Laden’s compound.
In addition to agreeing to forfeit all past and future proceeds to the government, according to the Daily Mail, Bissonnette “also issued a formal apology for publishing the book without submitting the manuscript to authorities for review. ”
Using the pen name Mark Owen, Bissonnette wrote the book about the raid, which killed one of the most notorious terrorists in the world.
However, as a member of SEAL team six and with 14 years in the military, Bissonnette had signed documents in which he agreed to protect national security secrets.
The government said he failed to seek clearance for the book and at least half a dozen speeches he gave, for which he earned more than $100,000 NPR reported.
In the meantime, the woman currently running for President of the United States, Hillary Clinton, is roaming the country, raking in over a billion dollars for her POTUS campaign effort—after having received and sent 45,500 (known) emails on her personal server.
To make matters worse Hillary Clinton knew aides were working with family foundation despite pledge.
In the meantime, the sitting Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden, it the one who “outed” the fact that the Navy SEALs were the special operations team who killed Osama Bin Laden. A fact that should have remained secret so as to not jeopardize the men (or their families) who participated in the raid.
What was Biden’s penalty?
Applause.
That the ruling elite can enrich themselves while violating their own oaths of office, while ordinary (or extraordinary, in the case of our service men and women) Americans live under a different set of rules is outrageous.
It is hypocrisy at its worst.
