Police say another weekend of Zombie-town killings are gang related.
These days, every weekend seems to bring another bloodbath in Zombietown (aka Chicago).
This past weekend was no different:
- A 25-year-old man was fatally shot after getting into an argument at a party with another man in the Southwest Side neighborhood
- Just after midnight on Friday, a 24-year-old man was found on his porch with a gunshot wound to his chest
- In another incident, a 20-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting
- Police believe many of the shootings to be gang-related
Four people have died and at least 35 more were wounded in shootings throughout the city since Friday evening, the Chicago Police Department said.
In one 14-hour span beginning Saturday afternoon, 25 people were shot – which police said is the equivalent of one person being shot every 33 minutes, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The Sun-Times and ABC7 reported that a 25-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday in Marquette Park in the Southwest Side section of the city.
